Generally speaking, the amplitude of the voltage signal output by the pressure sensor will be relatively small, and the output range will be irregular. It is usually necessary to use a signal conditioning amplifier to amplify and level shift the direct output of the pressure sensor to obtain the required voltage output range.
Integrating the front-end pressure sensor and the rear signal conditioning part forms a complete pressure transmitter. In order to adjust the output of the transmitter to the specified range, each transmitter product needs to be calibrated before leaving the factory. This reference design addresses this need for pre-factory calibration and provides a complete multi-channel fully automatic calibration system for pressure transmitter calibration before leaving the factory. This calibration system is based on the calibration system of a pressure transmitter using the AD855X programmable gain amplifier.
The AD855X series is ideally suited for use as signal conditioning amplifiers in pressure transmitter applications.
• The AD855X series are zero-drift sensor signal amplifiers
• Offer digitally programmable gain and output offset
• Gain and output offset can be fully emulated in circuit
• Permanently programmed using proven Polyfuse technology
