P&E's PROGPPCZ is a Windows® - based flash programming software for NXP MPC5xx/8xx MCUs that uses the P&E Multilink hardware interface to communicate with the processor's debug module. This tool supports in-circuit programming/reprogramming of external MPC5xx/8xx flash memory devices. Multilink compatible interfaces for MPC5XX/8XX development include USB Power Architecture BDM Multilink . This interface connects the PC's USB port to the target system's 10-pin debug connector. This interface connects the PC's USB port to the target system's 10-pin debug connector. The programming software includes the complete P&E MPC5xx/8xx programming algorithm library, as well as other new algorithms provided free of charge.
PROGPPCZ also includes a command line version of the programmer software (the software is called CPROGPPCZ and supports script programming). Both PROG and CPROG are ideal for development, production line programming, or field firmware updates. To provide a full-featured production solution, P&E also offers a stand-alone in-circuit flash programmer called Cyclone MAX, which is ideal for production programming and field maintenance.
