This reference design is a simple wearable multi-parameter patient monitor using the AFE4900 single-chip biosensing front-end that provides simultaneous electrocardiogram (ECG) and photoplethysmograph (PPG) measurements. Measurement data is transmitted to the remote location via the CC2640R2F (supports BLE 4.2 and 5). The reference design runs on a single CR3032 battery with a battery life of 30 days. Users can use raw data to calculate heart rate, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), pulse transit time (PTT) and ECG. Two onboard light emitting diodes (LEDs) indicate low battery detection and ECG lead loss detection conditions to the user.
