TB67S279FTG, TB67S289FTG and TB67S249FTG can control a single 2-phase bipolar stepper motor. The IC uses a 50 V monolithic analog process (BiCD: Bipolar CMOS DMOS) and supports 12 V to 42 V power supply and motor high current drive. The specification differences between the TB67S279FTG, TB67S289FTG, and TB67S289FTG are the output capabilities (capabilities of Ron and Iout) that determine the constant current rating, the gain (VREF(gain)), and the overcurrent detection (ISD) threshold. The pin assignments are the same. A built-in CLK-In decoder for micro-stepping driving allows the motor to be driven with a sine wave current by inputting the CLK signal. It utilizes ADMD (Advanced Mixed Decay Mode) for fast and accurate current tracking. In addition, external components can be eliminated by adopting ACDS (Advanced Current Detection System) and the component elimination mode of the internal oscillation circuit. The biggest feature of this integrated circuit is the use of AGC (active gain control: anti-stall function) technology. It enables efficient motor drive while preventing motor stalling.
