This design uses the CN3722 chip as a maximum power tracking lithium battery charger. It can charge multiple batteries. The charging current can reach 5A. It has high charging efficiency and low heat. It can set the constant current size and has a charging indicator light and full charge. Indicator light, chip with battery over-voltage and over-temperature protection and low charging input voltage protection.
In the figure, R8 and R9 are used to detect the input voltage dividing resistor. The MPPT point is generally 1.04V. The resistor is modified to adapt to different input voltages. This chip is generally used for solar charging. It has temperature compensation inside the chip. The curve is the same as that of the solar charging panel. It's called maximum power point tracking. OVER1 and CHRG1 are charging and charging end indicators respectively. R10 is a negative temperature coefficient thermistor. When the temperature exceeds 50 degrees of the lithium battery, charging is turned off. PMOS1, D3, D4, L3, R13, R14, R15, R17, and U3 form a buck circuit. The resistance of R13 and R14 determines the charging current. This circuit is set to 2A. R15 and R16 set the output voltage.
