1. About the board shape
Because it fits the machine casing, it has this irregular shape, and the location of the USB interface is also a bit strange. Normally all seats should be arranged on the edge of the board. It is precisely because of this problem that a 4-layer board is used. In fact, as long as the design is rectangular and the USB interface is placed on the edge, a 2-layer board is enough.
2. About the board function
It only has Internet access function, no voice function. The original intention of making it is to be built into the computer to facilitate access to the Internet in places where there is no WiFi.
3.Main components
The main part is the voltage conversion part. According to the official hardware design manual, LDO is used to convert the 5v voltage to 3.8v (3.3v is enough, the official recommendation is 3.8v). The official requirement is that the current is greater than 2A. The others are the NANO SIM card holder and the TTL level conversion part (EC20 1.8v TTL level, converted to 5v level) (it can be used without it, EC20 comes with a USB to serial port).
4.How to use
No settings are required, just download Quectel's USB driver, create a new dial-up connection and you can access the Internet.
