This project is used to verify the solution verification board design of Lichuoshang USB chip GL3520-OVY22
This design is based on the USB3.0 HUB of GL3520.
USB3.0 has become very popular in daily life. However, in order to make laptops and other electronic products thinner and lighter, many of them omit the USB-A interface and only have one or two C ports. This makes it difficult for us to connect multiple USB3.0 devices bring a lot of trouble, but a HUB with TYPE-C interface can not only bring higher transmission speed, but also easily expand one C port into four A ports, making it convenient to connect U disks, etc. High speed equipment.
This design includes all functions of GL3520-OVY22 such as signal indicator light, power indicator light, over-current indicator light, over-current protection, auxiliary power supply, etc., leaving jumpers to select the working mode of GL3520.
Two overcurrent protection methods are provided, one directly uses a recoverable fuse, and the other uses a power detection IC controlled by GL3520. The appropriate overcurrent protection method can be selected based on cost considerations.
There are 5 DRC errors in the PCB file. These 5 errors are packaging errors and do not need to be ignored.
The PCB file has a GND network that is fully connected. They are all connected through the USB port, so there is no need to worry about this network.
The next step will be PCB board proofing, and then we will update photos of the empty PCB board, photos of the finished welding product, demonstration video tutorials, etc.
The crystal oscillator did not match the 1M resistor, which caused a frequency problem. It was never discovered. After adding it, it can be used. The 3.0 function has not been tested. For unknown reasons, it cannot get power from the 3.0 line with the chip and cannot work. Waiting to buy one. Test the wire with the chip again.
