High-precision portable infrared thermometer

 
Overview

Note: There are many factors that affect infrared temperature measurement. The most influential factors are distance and ambient temperature. This design only compensates for distance. Changing to a different environment will affect the temperature measurement results, which can be revised in the program.

Note: This design is just a simple demo, you are welcome to make improvements.

1. The main control is FM32LG048, and the program can be transplanted to other MCUs.
2. Simulate I2C
3. Use the least squares principle to do polynomial fitting
4. The error within the distance of 20---90mm is ±0.5℃
5. There is a DS18B20 interface to facilitate subsequent temperature compensation.
6. If the peripheral sensor does not require 5V voltage, the lithium battery boost circuit can be deleted
7. It is best to keep the MLX90615 and VL53L0X in a horizontal position during installation.
 
The figure below shows the relationship between temperature and distance when temperature compensation is not added, and the temperature and distance compensation curve when temperature compensation is added.
