Overview
  1. This project is an air-conditioning smart socket that can be controlled offline by voice.

1Describe project details

Equipment introduction:

Plug this device into a 16A socket, and then plug in an air conditioner or other 16A high-power equipment plug, which can realize four-terminal control of high-power equipment via mobile phone, online voice, offline voice and manual buttons.


Device control method:
  1. Mobile phone control method: After the device is normally connected to the network, the mobile phone logs in to the Blinker client, and the user operates the device on the client interface.
  2. Online voice control method: After the device is normally connected to the network, the user can operate the device by sending voice commands to the bound third-party smart voice assistant (such as Xiaoai Audio)
  3. Offline voice control method: Regardless of whether the device is connected to the network normally, users can send voice commands to operate the device through the offline voice assistant that comes with the device.
  4. Manual button control method: Regardless of whether the device is connected to the network normally, the user can operate the device by pressing the buttons on the top of the device.

The principle of device control of household appliances:

After receiving various signals from the user, the device turns on (or turns off) the relay and sends the infrared signal of the home appliance to achieve the control effect of the home appliance.


Attached are two code files. One does not have a network distribution function. If you need to change the WiFi information, you need to re-burn the program; the other has a network distribution function. After changing the WiFi information, you only need to re-configure the network on the mobile phone. Please choose a program to burn according to your own needs.
If you use the USB to TTL module to burn the program, you need to solder an adapter board according to the following circuit diagram.

2. Describe the challenges faced by the project and the problems solved

  1. The current microphone recognition for offline voice is not sensitive enough. If the user’s voice is too low or too fast, it will not be recognized properly.
  2. The current offline voice speaker is not loud enough, and the sound becomes smaller when the distance exceeds 2 meters.
  3. Currently, ESP8266 cannot perform serial communication with the offline voice module and cannot normally read the signal from the offline voice module.

3. Describe the key points involved in the hardware and software parts of the project

  1. Use multiple infrared diodes in parallel and triode amplification to increase the infrared emission distance and control the air conditioner.
  2. Through the relay, the air conditioner power is disconnected when the air conditioner is turned off to save energy.
  3. Use the soft serial port to allow ESP8266 to communicate with the offline voice module to control the air conditioner
  4. Use Blinker · lighting platform to control ESP8266 and then control the air conditioner
