Battery power management chip CN3717
Input and output are 5mm binding posts.
Input voltage range: 7.5V to 28V (12V lead-acid requires at least 16V input, 20V recommended)
Charging current: Designed to be 1.2A, (the maximum charging current of 5A can be obtained by adjusting component parameters, requiring replacement of components and enhanced heat dissipation)
With NTC temperature detection port (disabled by default)
Red light for charging, green light for full.
CN3717 is a PWM buck mode lead-acid battery charging management integrated circuit, which independently manages the charging of lead-acid batteries automatically.
It has the advantages of small package size, few peripheral components and simple use.
CN3717 has trickle current, constant current, overcharge and float charge modes, which is very suitable for charging lead-acid batteries.
In overcharge and float charge modes, the charging voltage is set by an external resistor divider network;
In constant current charging mode, the charging current is set by an external resistor.
When starting charging, if the battery voltage is lower than 75.6% of the set overcharge voltage,
CN3717 uses 19% of the set constant current charging current to trickle charge the battery.
During the overcharge stage, the charging current gradually decreases. When the charging current drops to the value set by the external resistor, CN3717 enters the floating charge state.
In the float charge state, if the battery voltage drops to 82.2% of the set overcharge voltage, a new charging cycle will automatically start.
When the input power fails or the input voltage is lower than the battery voltage, CN3717 automatically enters a low-power sleep mode.
Other functions include input low voltage latch, battery temperature monitoring, battery terminal overvoltage protection and charging status indication.
