SJA1110 is a multi-gigabit secure TSN Ethernet switch with built-in 100BASE-T1 PHY. The MR-T1ETH8 development board is built based on SJA1110. Its target applications are automobiles and mobile robots. This board uses SJA1110A Ethernet switch and is compatible with SJA1110 SDK and AVB/gPTP middleware.
Targeted at networking in weight-constrained mobile robotic applications such as drones and rovers, the board also supports the NXP SE050 Secure Element with NFC for secure identification modules, key storage, and setting configuration and reading status via NFC function. Power Management The rugged automotive-grade VR5510 PMIC supports a wide operating voltage range of 40 V input.
Eight of the ten available SJA1110 Ethernet interfaces are provided on this board. Six are "two-wire" 100BASE-T1, one is traditional 100BASE-T using an RJ15 connector, and there is a 1000BASE-T interface that uses the new durable IX industrial connector standard. The IX-Industrial connector can be connected via cable to RJ45, or IX to IX can be connected to other boards provided by NXP for mobile robot development.
