The KITPF5200SKTEVM kit provides an integrated platform to evaluate designs based on the NXP PF5200 dual-channel PMIC. All features of the PF5200 can be accessed and monitored in the test environment. (Restrictions associated with the PF5200 package limit output current to 1A.)
The kit hardware includes the KITPF5200SKTEVM evaluation board, the FRDM-KL25Z microcontroller board, and the USB cable required to connect the FRDM-KL25Z to a PC. The KITPF5200SKTEVM evaluation board features a socket that allows users to update a single PF5200 using the device's one-time programming (OTP) functionality. Connectors, jumpers, and switches on the board can be used to configure the evaluation environment to meet specific design requirements. The board also contains LEDs and test points, providing a way to monitor performance in real time.
The FRDM-KL25Z mounts to the Arduino® header on the bottom of this board . The role of the FRDM-KL25Z is to manage the SPI communication between the KITPF5200SKTEVM board and the GUI installed on the PC. The FRDM-KL25Z is powered via a USB cable connected to a PC.
