Overview

This reference design demonstrates the TEA1721 as a -12 V and -3.3 V AC/DC SMPS converter delivering 5 W into the load. The switch mode converter operates in flyback mode with a maximum frequency of approximately 50 kHz. Built-in overcurrent and short circuit protection. Under no-load conditions, the flyback converter dissipates approximately 20 mW. This application is typically suitable for white goods and industrial applications.
