1. Product Introduction: This module can be used to monitor RS485 bus data, or actively send data to the bus. Send data to the bus, with built-in automatic sending and receiving control circuit, which greatly improves the efficiency of field bus troubleshooting in the industrial control industry.
2. Application scenarios: Most industrial control equipment uses 485 communication. Some equipment using the DB9 interface often needs to disassemble the leads for testing during communication debugging and troubleshooting, which is extremely inconvenient. This module can be directly connected in series to the DB9 socket, and can monitor the communication data of the bus without interfering with the communication of the original device. It can actively send data to the bus when needed, and has a built-in automatic sending and receiving control circuit. At this time, it can be used as a general USB to 485 module.
3. Product overview:
Supports two common DB9 interface forms: 1 pin of DB9 is connected to 485-A, 2 pins are connected to 485-B; and 6 pins are connected to 485-A, and 9 pins are connected to 485-B. Two commonly used DB9 interface forms are available through the toggle switch. switch.
The Mini-USB interface connects to the computer and supports USB power supply.
Equipped with USB current limiting protection, as well as 485 bus short circuit and overvoltage protection.
Equipped with power indicator light, and data sending and receiving indicator lights for easy viewing.
Pins 2, 3, and 5 of DB9 are connected directly, which does not affect the original 232 communication of the device.
Small size, double-layer board design, can use public version shell.
4. Product parameters:
USB interface: Mini-USB (power supply + communication)
RS485 baud rate: 50bps ~ 115200bps
USB to serial port: CH340N
RS485 transceiver: SP3485
PCB size: 39.5mm * 15mm
5. Instructions for use/tutorial:
front of the product and see the reference design download column on the back.
Instructions for use:
Connect the module in series to the DB9 plug, connect it to the computer with a USB cable, open the serial port debugging assistant, set the baud rate, and then monitor the bus communication data. Data can also be sent to the bus at any time. It has a built-in automatic sending and receiving switching circuit and does not require manual control.
Note:
Before use, the toggle switch must be switched to the correct position according to the 485 interface definition.
6. Remarks:
This module is pure hardware, ready to use. It can be used with any serial port debugging assistant (the CH340 driver needs to be installed on the computer).
Using general-purpose devices, the cost is low, and the batch cost is estimated to be about 10 yuan.
