Flashing light pendant design

Overview

Add a red eye special effect to the school mascot

(An idea inspired by a picture)

When I first saw this very simple circuit in the school hardware starter kit, I wanted to make some creative ideas to put it into practice.

Just use a red light and flash it with a red-eye effect.

I really like the cartoon "Rick and Mordy". This cartoon has greatly inspired my scientific and innovative thinking.

I searched for two very cool pictures and made the panel and free proofing PCB.

The first version of the PCB was originally intended to be flatter, and the larger CR2032 battery was abandoned and AG4 button batteries were used.

The battery can be stuck in the cutout designed in the panel.

There is no switch and I plan to use resistor leads to connect the battery directly, but an AG4 button battery with 1.5v voltage cannot carry it!

The leads used as switches can break if bent too many times.

(Actually, I also thought about using springs as lead switches, but I have no time to practice due to the final exam. The first verification was a bit useless )

If you like Grandpa Rick, come and get it

School enrollment requires some literary and creative works

Then let’s improve the circuit and use our school’s mascot as a panel to design it.

Let’s use the honest and practical 3V CR2032, and add a switch (the test used a push switch, and later the batch of 500 sets required by the school will be changed to a toggle switch.)

Note that the capacitance should be between 22uf and 100uf. The larger the capacitance, the slower the flashing. Personally, I think 47uf is good.

The PCB layout design is simple. I was too busy with the final exam and couldn't spare the time. It would be great to modify it with automatic wiring.

(It’s still a bit against the rules, but it’s fine if the circuit can be run through, hehe).

Panel arrives

The effect is good, and you can create it again ( red-eye special effect ) .
