PowerStation_power supply for desktop testing

Overview

Desktop test power supply

  • type-c power supply
  • Anti-reverse connection
  • Multiple voltage output
  • 1.25-50v adjustable voltage output
  • Clear inventory of Xinlong family bucket products

1.Circuit scheme

I can only say that I bought a lot of Xinlong power chips when I was tinkering with the VFD driver.

Voltage sequence: 5V input, one step down to 3.3V, one step up to 5V-50V, 5V-50V step down to 12V, 12V goes through buck to get 1.25V-6V.

  • 5V: type-c direct output, solder the pull-up resistors of CC1 and CC2 to theoretically provide a maximum 5V 3A output according to the typec protocol.
  • 3.3V: 5V is stepped down by AMS1117. Because the LDO efficiency is not high, the load cannot be too large.
  • 5V - 50V: 5V is obtained through the boost of xl6007e1. In fact, xl6007e1 has better alternatives to Core Dragon chips, but the purpose is to clear inventory.
  • 12V: The 18V or so generated by the boost circuit is regulated and output by the 7812. See the description below for details. Similarly, since it is a three-terminal voltage regulator tube, the load it can carry is also subject to certain limitations (the limit output current of a general 7812 is 1A?).
  • 1.25V - 6V: 12V is obtained by reducing the voltage of the xl4051e1 buck. This voltage is generally used to test chips or digital tubes and fluorescent tubes VFD, so the load size is not considered.

2. Precautions

  • The voltage output is led out through a double row of bent pins, which facilitates the direct insertion of DuPont wires. However, the pins were not welded when the picture was taken. We plan to use double rows of bent pins of different lengths to distinguish the power supply and ground.
  • There is no electronic load and no power test has been conducted. When used to test high-power devices, there may be overload conditions such as heating.
  • When using 12V, remember to set the 5V-50V output voltage to around 18V (15V-20V). On the one hand, the most suitable input voltage for the 7812 is about 18V, and on the other hand, the c11 withstand voltage is 50v.

3. Physical picture

All in all, this thing is quite rough, both in terms of appearance and circuitry, so it's fine for makeshift use. After that, I plan to build a multi-layered and multi-functional desktop test station, which in addition to voltage output also has lighting.
