IP5389 is a multifunctional power management SOC that integrates QC2.0 / QC3.0 / QC3+ output fast charging protocols, AFC / FCP / SCP / VOOC input and output fast charging protocols, USB C PD2.0 / PD3.0 input and output protocols, USB C PD3.0 PPS output protocol, compatible with BC1.2 / Apple mobile phones, synchronous bidirectional buck-boost converter, lithium battery charging management, battery power indication, etc., providing a complete power solution for fast charging mobile power. It can support four USB ports at the same time: USB A x2, USB C, USB B (or lightning port, or USBC). Any USB port can support fast charging when used alone. When two or more output ports are used at the same time, only 5V is supported.
IP5389 has high integration and rich functions. It only needs one inductor to realize the bidirectional buck-boost function. Only a few peripheral devices are required when applying it, which effectively reduces the size of the overall solution and reduces the BOM cost.
IP5389 supports 2/3/4/5 series cells, and the synchronous switch buck-boost system can provide a maximum output capacity of 60W. When unloaded, it automatically enters sleep mode. The
synchronous switch charging system of IP5389 provides up to 5.0A charging current. Built-in IC temperature, battery temperature and input voltage control loop, intelligently adjust the charging current.
IP5389 has a built-in 14bit ADC to accurately measure battery voltage and current. IP5389 has a built-in power calculation method to accurately obtain battery power information. The battery power curve can be customized to accurately display the battery power.
IP5389 supports 4 LED power display, supports 88, 188 and other digital tube power display; supports lighting function; supports buttons.
IP5389 integrates USB C Power Delivery PD2.0/PD3.0/PPS protocol, integrated physical layer protocol (PHY), hardware bidirectional mark codec (BMC) module.
Supports PD2.0/PD3.0 bidirectional input/output protocol, and supports PPS output protocol. The maximum power output supports 100W, the input supports 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 20V voltage range, and the output supports 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 20V voltage range. The output broadcast capability is 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A, 20V/3A, and PPS 3.3~21V/3A.
The BM3451 series is a professional 3/4/5-cell rechargeable battery protection chip with high integration, suitable for power tools, electric bicycles, and UPS backup power supplies. The BM3451 detects the voltage, charge and discharge current, and ambient temperature of each battery to achieve battery overcharge, overdischarge, discharge overcurrent, short circuit, charge overcurrent, temperature protection and other protection functions, and adjusts the overcharge, overdischarge, and overcurrent protection delays through external capacitors. The BM3451 provides a battery capacity balancing function to eliminate the capacity differences of each battery in the battery pack and extend the life of the battery pack. BM3451 can realize multiple chip cascade to protect 6 or more battery packs.
