STR-NCS32100-GEVK: Reference design for ON Semiconductor rotary position sensor NCS32100

 
Overview
The new sensor's approach is intended to replace optical encoder-based position sensors. And, unlike these sensors, the NCS32100 is not affected by changes in temperature and vibration. These aspects make it ideally suited for industrial applications where extreme environmental conditions are challenging. The STR−NCS32100−GEVK evaluation board is a complete demonstration of the NCS32100, capable of detecting position with <±50 arcsecond accuracy. The board can be connected to a computer running the onsemi Strata application, which provides a user interface for accessing position and velocity data, as well as many other ancillary functions. The NCS32100 evaluation board contains a complete rotation sensor application with a host controller for accessing position and velocity data. Data are displayed via the onsemi Strata application.
