Rodeostat: Potentiometer for electrochemistry, fully open source

 Rodeostat is a full-featured software and hardware open source potentiostat designed based on the popular Teensy 3.2 development platform. Rodeostat contains ready-to-use firmware that implements many standard voltammetry methods. Additionally, there is a software library for the Python programming language that provides the user with a simple high-level interface for configuring/controlling the potentiostat and streaming data back to the host PC during measurements. One of the main goals in developing Rodeostat was to allow users to easily make custom modifications. For this purpose, the potentiostat comes in the form of an expansion board for the Teensy 3.2 microcontroller development platform, which is part of the Arduino ecosystem. This allows the potentiostat to be programmed using the Arduino IDE (Teensyduino). The documentation is very detailed and is a rare learning material. Hardware designed as expansion board for teensy 3.2 development board with 12-bit voltage output with four range settings: +/- 1, 2, 5, 10V 16-bit current measurement with four range settings: +/- 1, 10, 100 , 1000 uA range can be programmed via USB using the Arduino IDE (teensyduino). Expansion header schematic with DIO, analog inputs, UART, I2C and SPI Open source firmware implements many standard voltammetry, including: constant voltage, cyclic voltammetry, sinusoidal voltammetry, linear sweep voltammetry, chronoamperometry , multiple steps. Control the USB/Serial API using messages in JSON. Easily extensible, enabling users to add custom tests.
