Table of Contents: Introduction, performance testing, physical pictures, material usage instructions and some remarks (if you don’t know which msata base and hardware to buy, look here)
Introduction
This project is based on the INIC-1618L USB to SATA bridge master control design, and the use of power chips RY3430 steps down USB 5V to 3.3V for use by mSATA hard drives.
A main power switch is provided for use in mass production card opening scenarios; a 5V power indicator light, a main control status indicator light, and a 3.3V power supply indicator light are provided for easy use.
The USB input uses the TypeC interface. Considering that it is a 2.0 solution, no one should plug it into the C port and use it, so the CC pin is not connected to the pull-down resistor. If necessary, you can add two by yourself.
Performance test

test scenario in the picture above:
X99 Zhaiban 2.0 interface, using the adapter board in this project, the solid state is 2246EN master control + Micron MLC, the actual test can almost run USB2.0.

The hardware recognition is normal, CDI can recognize the hard drive and SMART information

normally. The PG partition tool (the domestic version is known as DG) can read and write the hard drive and partition normally, and SMART information can be recognized normally.

Material instructions and some remarks.

Personally recommend the following combination:
For PCB proofing, choose a 1mm thickness
msata base and buy 4mm (some stores are 4.2mm). For the height
nut, buy M2 specifications and knurled copper posts with a length of 3mm. Remember to have a double pass. That is to say, screws that can be screwed at both ends
can be bought with M2, X3
or Yes, when placing an order, be careful not to buy the plug-in one by mistake and not buy the SMD one by mistake.
The specific BOM material information on the PCB will be pinned and updated in the comments, or a PCB file with a BOM suffix will be added to the project, and the comments inside will be added. Component information
