USB character LCD monitor emulates Crystal Fontz communication protocol

Overview

This is a project found by a foreign website. I would like to thank the author for open source this project (I can’t find his name).

This USB character LCD display was produced ten years ago and was used under a routing system called RouterOS. Because it uses the Crystal Fontz communication protocol, it can be used under Windows and Linux. Contrast and backlight brightness can be adjusted via corresponding commands.
It is actually some small-sized secondary screens now used to display some specific information, such as CPU load, network speed, network traffic, and some customized information.

The original first version of the hardware was a board drawn with Eagle and made with heat transfer. Below are some old pictures taken at that time.
The circuit diagram has been verified and there is no problem. Now I have redrawn the board with Lichuang EDA. There is no proofing. The board is smaller and can be compatible with two connection methods. The USB interface has been replaced with the popular Type-C interface, and a 4P interface is reserved, which can be used to connect to the motherboard. Pin.

For information on the computer, please refer to Crystal Fontz’s information on the serial port screen.
The attachments below are the source code, Fuse parameters, and boot logo modification tool.
