Overview

the USB3.0 card reader based on GL3224.
Both TF card and SD card are available, but only one can be inserted at the same time.
The theoretical read and write speed of GL3224 is 100MB/S, which varies according to the type of memory card.
 
 
This chip needs to be upgraded to 1536 firmware before it can use USB3.0.
If you want to upgrade to a higher version of the firmware, you must weld the flash chip.
I will post the specific update method and software package below.
 
 
The SD card has a write-protect function, but the TF card does not. When using it, select the gear first and then connect it to the computer.
 
 
Design introduction ------
Prioritize the use of external crystal oscillators, which are more stable while the errors of internal crystal oscillators are relatively large.
Select commonly available flash chips, such as W25Q80
DM and DP require differential, TXP and TXN require differential lines, and RXP and RXN require differential The differential line requires that the two lines run parallel and at equal intervals. A slightly different line will have little impact.
TXP and TXN must be connected to the USB interface with 104 capacitors, and the capacitors must be as close to the interface as possible.
Place the capacitor in the circuit as close to the chip pin as possible, not too far away.
 
 
After many iterations of the board, it is now in its final form.
 
 
Firmware upgrade ------
 
Upgrading GL3224 firmware to 1536 requires an external flash chip,
which can be upgraded with GL3224 update tool v1.0.
When upgrading software, please pay attention to whether the software supports flash chip support.
If not, please modify the software config.ini file.
