This PCB is theoretically compatible with TPA3116 and TPA3118, but it has not been verified whether TPA3118 is feasible

1. Parameter introduction and precautions
1.1 The power supply adopts an external power adapter, DC single input, the input voltage is 8-26v, the recommended input voltage is DC 12-24v, and do not work for a long time in a 24v voltage environment
1.2 This amplifier provides a maximum theoretical output power of 100w*2 under the condition of a speaker impedance of 4 ohms, and a theoretical value of 50w*2 at 8 ohms.
However, it is recommended that when using it, under a 24v power supply environment, do not exceed 4 ohms 65w and 8 ohms 35w, otherwise it may cause a decline in sound quality, excessive distortion, and burn out the amplifier, etc.
1.3 This amplifier must be installed with a heat sink in a voltage environment of 15v or above. If it is powered by 26v, a fan must be added as an active heat sink under the premise of installing a heat sink, otherwise it may burn out the amplifier and speakers.
 
2. Component selection issues
2.1 The withstand voltage of all capacitors in the amplifier should be greater than or equal to 35v, otherwise it may cause problems such as excessive background noise in the amplifier.
2.2 Regarding the selection of capacitors C1, C2, C10, C11, C13, C14, C23, C24, C25, and C26, the plug-in has a pin pitch of 5mm. Please use film correction capacitors for this accessory to ensure sound quality. Here we recommend Siemens' 63v 1uf film correction capacitors, or Weimar's fever-coupled non-polar capacitors. Non-polar electrolytic capacitors are also acceptable.
2.3 Regarding the selection of R15, R16, R21, and R22, try to choose high-precision chip resistors. 1% accuracy is recommended here. Insufficient accuracy may cause gain imbalance in the left and right channels.
2.4 For the volume adjustment potentiometer, use a double 10K resistance.
2.5 Regarding the 3.5mm audio jack, it is recommended to use PJ306, which has a more reliable and durable connection.
2.6 Regarding the selection of the DC port, it is recommended to use the DC5525 interface, which has a larger current and a more stable connection.
2.7 Regarding the selection of L78M12 (U7), it is recommended to use the imported ST brand, which has a longer life, smaller ripple, and purer sound quality.
2.8 Regarding the selection of inductors L1, L2, L3, and L4, if a 10A 10UH inductor is required for shell installation, a 15A inductor can be selected for bare board use 10UH inductor, the effect is better than 10A, the size is a bit larger and cannot be installed in the shell.
 
4. Shell problem
The shell adopts 27*82*100mm integrated aluminum alloy shell purchased from Taobao, which is conducive to heat dissipation. It is recommended to use a 50*50*5mm thermal conductive silicone pad inside the shell for auxiliary heat dissipation. It may be difficult to install the thermal pad. For this, relevant teaching videos will be released later.
The panel adopts PCB. Of course, metal can also be used as the panel. The information will be gradually improved in the future, and the CAD information of the panel will be put in the attachment.
 
5. Welding problem
Since the pins of TPA3116 are somewhat dense, welding may be difficult. It is recommended to use solder paste and SMT soldering oil (buy better soldering oil, this is very important) with a knife head soldering iron for soldering.
For other parts, due to too many solder points, it is recommended to use medium-temperature solder paste and a heating table for soldering. The heating table is very cheap, only a dozen yuan each, and the effect is very good.
