3-phase reference design for VE-Trac™ Drive SiC module with GD3160 functionality

Overview

The RDGD31603PHSEVM is a three-phase reference design and evaluation kit equipped with six GD3160 gate drivers for IGBT/SiC MOSFET devices. The kit includes Freedom KL25Z microcontroller hardware that interfaces with a PC. The Flex GUI software needs to be installed on a PC, which communicates with the GD3160 through SPI registers in a daisy chain or standalone configuration. The kit allows the user to configure the device without any software development and perform SC or dual pulse on single phase.

The RDGD31603PHSEVM is also compatible with the NXP MPC5775B/E-EVB (not included in this kit) for full motor control using our software examples. This evaluation kit is designed to connect to a compatible packaged VE-Trac SiC OnSemi module (not included with this kit) or any other module with the same pinout.
