DER-43 - 1.8W non-isolated Power Supply

Overview

This document is an engineering report describing the prototype power supply used on a PABX telephone system line card using the DPA424G. This power supply provides 24.5W of continuous power from a -40 VDC input. The power supply uses transistor-based non-isolated feedback rather than an optocoupler (some telecom power supplies do not allow the use of optocouplers). This document provides complete design information including specifications, schematics, bill of materials, and transformer design and construction information. The document also provides performance information.
