This design uses the highly flexible PCM5242 differential output DAC to convert the extremely high performance analog input TPA3251D2 Class D amplifier into a digital input system with audio processing capabilities. The full performance of the TPA3251D2 amplifier can now be achieved through a variety of digital input sources. The PCM5242 DAC's analog differential output and high SNR are a perfect match for the TPA3251D2 amplifier's full differential analog input, resulting in excellent noise performance and very low distortion. Through the miniDSP on the PCM5242, audio processing and filtering functions can be added to further enhance the audio performance in the end device.
The PMP4489 reference design is a dedicated USB-C PD2.0 DFP 5V/12V 3A output flyback converter featuring the secondary-side regulation UCC28740DR, which provides constant voltage and constant current functionality. This design features less than 75mW standby power consumption (DOE 6 and CoC V5 Level 2 compliant). The secondary voltage and secondary balanced synchronous rectifier UCC24636 achieves high efficiency with maximum SR on-time. The TPS25740 is fully compatible with USB Power Delivery 2.0 providers and Type-C downstream ports (DFP).

This TI reference design combines a Texas Instruments (TI) low-voltage H-bridge motor driver with an integrated LDO voltage regulator and an ultra-low-power microcontroller (MCU) to demonstrate a comprehensive implementation of a battery-powered electric toothbrush. .
The MAX17559 is a dual-output, synchronous step-down controller that drives nMOSFETs. The device uses a constant- frequency, peak-current-mode architecture. The two outputs can be configured as independent voltage rails. Input capacitor size is minimized by running the two outputs 180° out of phase. The IC supports current sensing using either an external current-sense resistor for accuracy or an inductor DCR for improved system efficiency. Current foldback or latch-off limits MOSFET power dissipation under short-circuit conditions. The IC provides independent adjustable soft-starts/stops for each output and can start up monotonically into a pre-biased output. The IC can be configured in either PWM or DCM modes of operation, depending on whether constant-frequency operation or light-load efficiency is desired. The IC operates over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range and is available in a lead(Pb)-free, 7mm x 7mm, 32-pin TQFP, package.
