How to choose ARM development board [Copy link]

I have had experience in learning on development boards before, but I only understood basic development. Now I am mainly working on GPS and GPRS, using Linux. I require the development board manufacturer to have better technical support, and hope you can provide specific brands and models. Thank you.

Don't expect them to have too much after-sales service. Many companies only support how to download the kernel, and the code problems inside are basically not within the scope of technical support. If you want a complete interface and better stability, Youlong and Liyutai are better.  Details Published on 2009-1-8 08:51

If you are doing GPS application, an optimized board is recommended.

It is rare to use Linux for GPS, unless it does not require an interface. —————————————————————— All development boards are similar. Samsung is better for development. ———————————————————————————————————————————————— Domestic development board vendors and development board reviews Youshan - Youshan has been very popular recently, mainly because it sells very cheaply. To be honest, the quality is really not good. Now netizens frequently complain that cheap products are not good. I think the reasons for this are: (1) The quality of Youshan boards is unstable. When downloading NK, it often freezes or blue screens. Some netizens said that the DM9000 driver of mini2440 has problems, which makes them depressed after buying it. (2) The BSP is 4.2. This 4.2 version of BSP has many problems when running under wince5.0, which directly affects the DIY activities of upgrading to wince6.0. At that time, you have to re-understand the architecture of 5.0 BSP (this is what I went through). (3) Youshan made a bootloader by himself (in fact, it has no technical content), but he treated it as a treasure and did not open it to the public. This made beginners who learn driver development very depressed. You know, the best entry point for learning driver development is the bootloader. So I think if you want to learn driver and have sufficient financial situation, and have never been exposed to wince driver development before, you must not buy Youshan’s board. If you have a foundation and have an expert to guide you, you can buy it and re-port the BSP and bootloader yourself (in fact, it is not difficult, but it is a bit scary for beginners). (4) Youshan only left a serial port out - in order to be able to use the serial port for application development, Youshan had to block the debug serial port, which made a bunch of newly bought GGs wonder: Why is there no information output from my serial port after the bootloader? Haha, Youshan should make the interface more complete. The price is cheap, and the quality should be comparable to the "Shenzhou" development board. Liyutai - Our company has bought two boards. I think the workmanship is OK, and the quality of the BSP is OK, but it is a bit expensive. I really don't want to buy it personally. The current BSP is 2440 BSP5.0. The documentation is also good. It uses Samsung's eboot, but they also treat the USB downloaded code as a treasure and do not open it to the public. Langcheng - A newly emerged board manufacturer. I also met a guy on eeworld and learned about it. Later, I went to its forum and felt that many people reported many bugs, but they just started to develop, so they are still quite authentic, and the service is probably quite sincere. The price seems to be quite expensive, not worth recommending. Ulong - Although Samsung has done most of the bootloader, it is undeniable that Ulong is the only one that is completely open and supports USB download. In addition, Ulong's bootloader is written by ADS, which is very convenient for debugging and learning. I think Ulong's board is worth recommending - although the price is relatively expensive and the documentation is not very good, this bootloader is very helpful for learning drivers. In fact, there are many board manufacturers in China, such as Yangchuang, etc., but I don't think they are that good, so I will just introduce these representative ones. Please don't be annoyed when you see this, because the products and services provided are for others to evaluate.

What are the development board manufacturers with good software support and after-sales service? (Price is not an issue, it is just easy to develop and can improve capabilities)

I have had experience learning on a development board before, but I only knew basic development. Now I am mainly working on GPS and GPRS, using Linux. The main purpose is to be able to learn independently and improve my ability. Which one is more suitable for the current situation, 2410 or 2440? (It seems that the support and related documents for 2410 are more, but 2440 is stronger than 2410)
