Showing the WEBENCH design process + wide input range processor power supply design [Copy link]

There is an application with 3.5-42V input. The processor needs 3.3V power supply, while the peripheral circuit needs 5V power supply and supports TTL level. It is very tricky, so I designed it with WEBENCH. First open WEBENCH, select FPGA/uP power supply design, and enter the required parameters. Here I use TI's processor instead of the processor I currently use. Then click Add multiple loads to increase the 5V load power supply. After entering the parameters, submit the project requirements. Then optimize the results. Because I am limited in area, select Optimize to Minimum Area in the upper left corner. There are only two solutions. Select the first one with the smallest area and click to view the project details. This solution uses a BUCK and a BUCK-BOOST power supply. Click Generate Project to get the design results. However, this result still cannot be laid out for my circuit board, and the design needs to be changed. However, this design process greatly saves me time in such designs, so it is still very valuable.
