The holiday lights controller made with VH5163 integrated circuit is shown in Figure 2-97.
    VDI~VD5, Rl and cl form a bridge rectifier simple voltage stabilizing circuit to output Sv DC power for the integrated block VH5163
. The synchronization signal of A is obtained by resistor R2. After the power is turned on, the output terminals L1~I_A, that is, pins 3, 4, 5, and 6, output
control pulses, which are added to the gates of the thyristors VS1~VS4 through R6~R9 to control their conduction angles, thereby making H1 ~H4
four sets of colorful lights can be lit, extinguished or dimmed according to the required control method.
    The control method of the lantern depends on the level of TIP, DIM, Sl, and so terminals, that is, pins 9, 12, l3, and 14.

     Method ①: Forward pursuit. That is, the colored lights light up in turn according to H1-H2-H3-H4-H1-... to produce a forward chasing effect
. Adjusting the potential RP can change the chasing speed;
    method ②: forward and reverse chasing. First execute forward pursuit, then reverse direction after 20 cycles, and cycle in sequence;
    method ③; compound pursuit control. First execute mode ① at 4 different speeds, then execute mode ② at 4 different speeds,
alternately;
    mode ④: no chasing, only dimming. Four groups of bulbs simultaneously gradually change from dark to full brightness, and then to dark again, achieving continuous
dimming;
    Method ⑤: Chase and dim in forward and reverse directions. The 4 sets of light bulbs are dimmed while chasing forward, and then change the chasing direction,
changing the direction after every 4 cycles of chasing. Can produce wave-like dimming effect;
    method ⑥: mandarin duck-style step dimming. First, dimming the Hl and H2 sets of bulbs, then dimming the H2 and H3 sets of bulbs, then
dimming the H3 and H4 sets of bulbs, then dimming the H4 and Hl sets of bulbs ..., change the direction after every 4 cycles. ;
    Method ⑦: Automatic cycle control. The above 6 methods can automatically cycle and repeat, and each method lasts for about 17 seconds;
    Method ⑧: Function lock control. In execution mode ⑦, when looping to the working mode you need, connect the TIP
pin to high level VDD, and this mode will be locked.
    In actual use, you can connect the control mode selection terminals, namely pins 9, 12, 13, and 14, to
the corresponding levels as shown in Table 2-46 as needed. You can also use 4 small lx2 switches to switch pins 12, 13, and 14 between VDD and vss, and
switch pin 9 between VDD and floating to form a multifunctional lighting controller.
