The switching circuit is shown in the figure and consists of a step-down rectifier circuit, an oscillation circuit and an electronically controlled switching circuit.
IC 1 (555) and RP1, R1, C1 form an astable multivibrator. The oscillation period T=0.693 (RP1+2R1) C1, which is about 1 to 10 seconds, can be selected by adjusting RP1. The pulse wave output by IC 1 is integrated by RP2 and C2 and then added to VT1 to control the on and off of SCR, thereby controlling the lighting or extinguishing of the colored lights .
