Rotary DC arc welding machines include AX, AX1, AX3 and AR series. Its structure is basically the same, and it is
an integral converter unit composed of a three -phase asynchronous motor and a DC arc welding generator coaxially.
    The current adjustment of AX series DC arc welding machine has two types: coarse adjustment and fine adjustment. The coarse adjustment has three positions and is fixed in the groove of the machine cover
. It is realized by moving the brush holder. If the brush holder is moved in the direction of the motor, the working current will decrease; on the contrary, the working current
will increase. Fine adjustment is achieved by changing the resistance of the varistor in the shunt winding via a handwheel.
    The current adjustment of AX1 series DC arc welding machine has two types: coarse adjustment and fine adjustment. Coarse adjustment is
achieved by changing the number of turns of the series winding on the line board . Fine adjustment is achieved by changing the resistance of the transformer in the shunt winding via a handwheel. The current adjustment of
    AX3 series DC arc welding machine has two types: coarse adjustment and fine adjustment. There are two levels of coarse adjustment,
realized by a single-throw switch with large and small marks . Fine adjustment is achieved by moving the brushes with a hand wheel. The change of polarity can
be achieved by pulling the double-throw switch with "reverse" and "forward" marks .
