Quadrax
An exclusive LEMO product, the Quadrax is a connector with four
concentric contacts ready to solve all kinds of audio stereo patch
panel problems. Especially designed for a European radio and televi-
sion network, this new connector type allows "blind" mating without
taking care of contact positioning but with the full mating security of
the LEMO 'Push-Pull' system. As for coaxial or triaxial types, the qua-
drax connectors can also be fitted on panel in ''star' configuration for
switching a single signal to different outputs.
In order to enable the user to make his own coding system, the shell
of bridge plugs, the double panel washers, the insulating washers as
well as the cable sleeves to be fitted on plugs are available in nine
colours.
Quadrax
Une exclusivité LEMO, les QUADRAX sont des connecteurs à quatre
contacts concentriques conçus pour résoudre tous les problèmes de
panneaux de commutation audio stéréo.
Développés spécialement pour une grande chaîne de radio télévi-
sion européenne, ce nouveau type de connecteurs présente l'avan-
tage de permettre un enfichage 'à l'aveugle' sans avoir à tenir comp-
te de la position respective des contacts tout en bénéficiant de la
sécurité d'enfichage du système 'Push-Pull' LEMO.
De même que les connecteurs de type coaxial et triaxial, ils peuvent
être utilisés dans un montage en étoile pour commuter un même
signal sur des sorties différentes.
Afin de permettre à l'utilisateur de réaliser un système codifié, Ie boî-
tier des cavaliers de pontage, Ies entretoises ou Ies rondelles iso-
lantes des embases, de même que les manchons de protection des
câbles montés sur fiches sont livrables en neuf couleurs.
Pour les modèles à serre-câble, la lettre Z à la fin de la référence indique la présence
d'un poulet de serrage prévu pour le montage d'un manchon de protection du câble
(pas disponible pour serrage «76»).
Pour les cavaliers de pontage, la dernière lettre de la référence indique la couleur du
boîtier (N= Noir). Pour les autres couleurs, voir le tableau page 27.
For all collet nut connectors, adding a Z to the end of the part number means there is
a collet nut to be used for mounting the cable sleeve (not available for collet «76»).
For bridge-plugs, the last letter of the part number indicates the shell colour (N=
black). For the other colours, please refer to the page 27 table.
