Avnet wins the "2021 Best Workplaces" award. Let's hear their stories

Lisa Wang : Time flies. As someone born in the early 1980s, I've been at Avnet for over a decade. From a young, naive career to a more established one, I've shared the joys and sorrows of Avnet and achieved mutual success. In other words, Avnet is like an old friend, witnessing my growth, especially as I challenge myself through constant change, acquire new knowledge, and enhance my abilities.

"Adaptation leads to success, and success leads to success." As a PM who has overseen nearly 20 product lines, it is almost instinctive for me to quickly learn new knowledge and adapt to new environments. A colleague once joked that I was an Avnet legend. From chips to modules, from power supplies to flash memory, from diodes and tertiary transistors to MCUs, from European and American products to local domestic products, all kinds of things are like unrelated puzzle pieces. They look messy, but when pieced together, they form a complete framework. They silently and imperceptibly fill and enrich my electronic world, which is all-encompassing and interesting.

Constantly pushing beyond my comfort zone and challenging the unknown seems to be the mission Avnet has entrusted to me. So I'll accept it with equanimity, forge ahead fearlessly, and become the "Steel Rose" that emerges after the storm!

Richard Dai: 2021 has already arrived, marking a full ten years since I joined Avnet. These past ten years have been filled with ups and downs, but I'm grateful for your company! Ten years later, I face life with greater composure. Despite shedding all the dust, I remain true to my original aspiration and continue to serve the nation's high-end manufacturing industry!

Jinlong Zhu: Avnet not only provided me with a job opportunity but also offered me a great learning platform, allowing me to continue to grow and develop on the job. Despite my years of grassroots management experience, when I actually got to the shop floor, I realized there was a significant gap between my knowledge base and the company's needs. As my days at the grassroots level progressed, my understanding of computers became more refined. At work, the people around me not only gave me valuable advice but also taught me many things I hadn't learned in school. Unconsciously, I developed a habit of persistent learning.

Amito Yao: Avnet is a truly excellent platform, connecting OEMs and customers. I learn cutting-edge chip technology while also solving various difficult problems faced by customers through practical application. I used to believe that true value could only be realized through product development, but later I realized that a good product hinges on meticulous attention to detail, and these details are precisely the challenges our customers face. I'm fortunate to be part of this effort, diligently polishing the details of our customers' products. While the process can be painful, the sense of pride in solving a problem is irreplaceable. I will continue to learn, serving our customers with even greater professionalism and a humble, sincere attitude, ensuring that choosing Avnet products is a truly valuable investment.

Sun Si: Looking back on my eight years in the Avnet family, from a young woman in her twenties to a wife and mother, I've dedicated my entire youth to Avnet, and through growing with it, I've become more mature. As a CS on the "bottom" of the front-end, my journey has not only been filled with hard work, but also with the friendship and understanding among colleagues. Whenever I encounter difficulties at work, I'm met with warm support from colleagues. Through my dedicated service to our customers, I've earned their appreciation.

Liu Yang: " Born in comfort, die in worry." Every merger and acquisition among global chip manufacturers presents both an opportunity and a challenge for us. On the one hand, we lose certain agency rights, but on the other, we consolidate our product lines and focus our manpower on achieving major successes.

It's precisely this turbulent environment that has honed our tireless dedication to addressing customer technical issues and our unwavering commitment to business planning, fostering a united and progressive team and company capable of facing all kinds of change with composure. A century of history has shaped Avnet into a company characterized by continuous change and resilient development, and Avnet will continue to support its customers and advance technological development.

Zhigang Hou: Avnet has a century of experience and a warmth that endures. The longer you stay at Avnet, the more you feel that heartfelt tenderness. That warmth is refreshing and exhilarating.

I was pregnant with our second child at the time, and the two-child policy hadn't been relaxed yet. If we followed Beijing's policy, we'd have to pay a 400,000 yuan fine. The pressure was immense, so overwhelming that we didn't know what to do. Arthur, our department boss, happened to be in Beijing that day. Seeing my frown, he struck up a conversation. He analyzed the situation, shared his family's joys, and reassured me that our team and company were positive and that all problems would be resolved through Avnet's growth. This familial warmth solidified our resolve to have a second child. Fortunately, eight months later, the two-child policy was adjusted and the fine was lifted.

Avnet has always had its joys throughout its century, and all sorts of team activities are filled with laughter and joy. I particularly enjoy our annual meeting, which is filled with so much hard work and happiness, so much touching moments and joy.

Kam Keung HO: Working at Avnet, I feel like I'm at home. We get along like brothers and sisters. This feeling is:

Warmth is not the warmth you feel on your skin, but the warmth you feel in your heart, just like the difference between the sound of an atomic amplifier and that of a tube amplifier. Isn’t it amazing?

May Cheng: Someone once asked me why I returned to Avnet after leaving. I answered without hesitation: I love my lovely colleagues at Avnet. I love the simple relationships within the team. I love the hardworking and passionate women who share their advice when we encounter difficulties. I love everyone's open-minded approach to doing good, not worrying about the future, and their courage to overcome challenges. It's these excellent and lovely colleagues who make me look forward to coming back to work. No matter how far I go, Avnet is always where I want to return.

Michelle Li: My days at Avnet are green . I'm like a tree. When it encounters sunshine and rain, it grows upwards; when it encounters water and nutrients, it extends its roots.

Days at Avnet are yellow , like golden sunshine, full of vitality and joy. It's wonderful to have each of you here.

My days at Amphenol are vibrant . In the long river of history, a century passes by like a fleeting moment, and my seven years have flown by in the blink of an eye. I only hope that my original aspirations will remain evergreen and fresh.

Lina Wang: I never imagined I'd stay at a company for 10 years. Looking back, I think of two key factors that kept me going: first, the harmonious company atmosphere; second, the successive bosses who came before me were good. We often say that choosing a good boss is more important than choosing a good company.
