Cisco aims to build a truly intelligent digital society using LoRaWAN and Cisco Kinetic. The Digital Living Lab program is our first pilot project in Hong Kong, and Avnet is an important partner of ours. We hope that the IoT can benefit more businesses and citizens in all aspects of their lives, work, play, and learning,” said Mr. Argon Ho, General Manager of Cisco Hong Kong and Macau.
Low-power wide-area networks (LPWANs) are wireless wide-area networks that allow for long-distance connections with low power, thereby increasing the battery life of devices such as sensor nodes. Wide coverage expands the scale of data collection and the scope of deployment. LoRaWAN is one type of LPWAN technology.
