Recently, UBTECH is verifying the effectiveness of DeepSeek technology in humanoid robot application scenarios, including multimodal human-machine interaction, command understanding in complex environments, and task decomposition and planning in industrial scenarios. The company hopes to use the deep thinking ability of the inference big model to solve the challenges of these complex tasks and make humanoid robots closer to human thinking and behavior.

It is reported that UBTECH has cooperated with Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, Geely Automobile, FAW-Volkswagen Qingdao Branch, Audi FAW, BYD, BAIC New Energy, Foxconn, SF Express and other companies. Among them, the first phase of training of UBTECH's industrial humanoid robot Walker S1 at BYD has achieved initial results, doubling its work efficiency and improving its stability by 30%. It will continue to be optimized in the future and is expected to have large-scale delivery capabilities in the second quarter of 2025.

At Foxconn, Walker S1 has completed the first phase of logistics handling tasks. The next phase will cover more areas in logistics scenarios and deploy more industrial humanoid robots for testing.

Previously, UBTECH's Chief Brand Officer Michael Tam revealed in an interview that this year the company will deliver 500 to 1,000 Walker S series industrial humanoid robots to customers and partners, including Foxconn and SF Express.
