Overview
The TMC4671-LEV-REF
is an open-source reference design for light electric vehicles (LEVs). It is a brushless DC servo driver that supports up to +55V voltage (approximately 13 lithium-ion batteries in series) and 500W motor power. The design provides rich interfaces for connecting external sensors, position feedback systems, and GPIO, while also supporting external lighting control for LEVs. Onboard CAN and TTL
UART interfaces facilitate communication. Key features include: single-axis brushless DC servo driver with a continuous power output up to 500W; power supply voltage support up to 13S lithium-ion battery packs (<55V); Hall sensor interface; CAN and UART communication interface; 3-channel general purpose input/output interface; sine and cosine encoder and torque sensor interface; LEV external lighting support; onboard MEMS motion sensor; and open-source hardware and firmware.
