2D barcode scanning

Overview
Since mobile payments extensively use 2D barcodes, payment can be easily performed by simply holding a handheld personal device equipped with a monitor to display the 2D barcode. It can also carry out identity recognition, reservations, payment, online shopping, etc. Scanning QR barcodes provides people with more convenience. The biggest difference between two-dimensional barcodes and one-dimensional barcodes is the size of the data. One-dimensional barcodes can only display numbers, while two-dimensional barcodes can store more information in a small space. The main feature of Nuvoton's MPU series is the high-performance and low-cost 32-bit Arm® ARM9EJ-S core, which can run at 200 MHz ~ 300 MHz and supports CMOS cameras and TFT LCD display devices. The key point is that the MPU series has stacked 2 MB to 64 MB DDR memory space, which not only facilitates customers to make circuit boards from 2-layer boards to 4-layer boards, but also makes it easy for customers to pass EMI and EMC certifications. The MPU series basically integrates all the functions of scanning QR codes into one IC, which not only saves costs, but also allows the product to be completed with a smaller circuit board. Based on the above characteristics, the MPU series is a very cost-effective solution in the application of QR code scanners.
