This solution has a built-in font library and image gallery, and supports fast printing. It can be connected to a computer or cash register for printing. Integrating functions into a microcontroller saves PCB space and reduces printer size.
The main features of Nuvoton's NUC500 series are high-performance, low-cost, low-power consumption, 32-bit ARM® ARM7TDMI core, built-in 32 KB/64 KB SRAM, 80MHz speed, fast printing, and support for two sets of Serial and USB connection devices. The driver specifically supports USB printer class to facilitate printing from computers or cash registers. NUC500 basically integrates all the functions of the printer into one IC, which not only saves costs, but also allows the product to be completed with a smaller PCB. Based on the above characteristics, NUC500 is a very cost-effective solution in printer applications.
