Overview

P-NUCLEO-IHM03 STM32 motor control kit includes X-NUCLEO-IHM16M1 board, NUCLEO-G431RB board, gimbal brushless DC motor (GBM2804H-100T, and DC power supply.

The platform provides control solutions for three-phase, low voltage, low current brushless DC or PMSM motors. The solution is based on STSPIN830 driver and STM32G431RB MCU.
STSPIN830 is for three-phase motors. Compact universal driver for FOC algorithms. It is integrated into a very small 4 x 4 mm QFN package and contains control logic and complete protection of a three-phase half-bridge power stage with low RDSon. It supports single-resistor or three-resistor current sampling architecture, and has an embedded PWM current controller (controlled based on user-set reference voltage and off-time value). Through the dedicated MODE input pin, the device can freely decide whether to pass 6 The inputs (each input corresponds to a MosfetMosfet switch) are still driven by the more common 3 PWM direct drive inputs.
STM32G431RB is a 32-bit microcontroller based on the high-performance Arm ® Cortex ® -M4 32-bit RISC core with a maximum frequency of 170 MHz and a floating-point unit (FPU) and embedded advanced analog peripheral set.
The X-NUCLEO-IHM16M1 board can support and configure different closed-loop control, FOC or 6-step sensing or non-sensing schemes. It is compatible with three-resistor or single-resistance current sampling measurements.
The NUCLEO-G431RB board represents an affordable and flexible solution that helps users practice new ideas and build prototypes using STM32G4 microcontrollers. Thanks to the integrated STLINK-V3E debugger and programmer, it eliminates the need for any separate tools.

    • Two types of extension resources:Arduino™ Uno V3 expansion connectorSTMicroelectronics' morpho extension pin headers for full access to all STM32 I/O
    • On-board STLINK-V3E debugger/programmer with USB re-enumeration: mass memory, virtual COM port and debug port
    • 1 user button and 1 reset button
