FRDM-33879A-EVB: Evaluation Kit - 33879, configurable eight-way serial switch

Overview

The evaluation kit supports the MC33879 device, an 8-output, hardware-configurable high-side/low-side switch that provides 16-bit serial peripheral interface (SPI) control. Two of the outputs can be controlled directly from a microcontroller for pulse-width modulation (PWM) applications. The 33879 uses SMARTMOS® ^technology with CMOS logic, bipolar/MOS analog circuitry and DMOS power MOSFETs. The 33879 controls a variety of inductive, incandescent, or LED loads by connecting directly to a microcontroller.

This evaluation kit can be used in conjunction with the FRDM-KL25Z . FRDM-KL25Z can be used as Freedom SPI Dongle. All other FRDM circuit boards on the market are also compatible with this board.
