Overview

System example of an active cell balancing battery management system. The TMS570LS0432 microcontroller commands the EMB1402 EVM to monitor the battery cells and perform charge/discharge from one battery cell to an external 12V power supply. Users can view battery status and control battery balancing through a GUI running on the host PC.

  • ● TMS570LS0432 MCU analyzes data from all cells and generates valid cell balancing commands
  • ● TMS570LS0432 MCU commands EMB1428 to perform battery balancing and monitors the status of EMB1428 and EMB1499 during runtime
  • ● TMS570LS0432 MCU communicates with the host PC via UART emulated by the NHET module to display status and control balancing operations at runtime
