Overview

This design implements a bidirectional, non-isolated buck-boost power converter suitable for solar microconverters, hybrid electric vehicles (HEV), and battery charging applications.

characteristic
  • ● High-efficiency design, supporting a maximum efficiency of more than 95%.
  • ● Fast 250 KHz switching frequency enables smaller passive components, reducing board area and extending life.
  • ● Three control modes to meet various applications: 1) Output voltage control 2) MPPT control (input current control) 3) Reverse voltage control.
  • ● Software Frequency Response Analyzer (SFRA) software is provided to measure the frequency response of the power converter and verify the stability of the design.
  • ● The converter is controlled by the C2000™ Piccolo™ TMS320F28035 microcontroller.
  • ● Design includes user guide, operating software, Software Frequency Response Analyzer (SFRA) software and GUI, schematic, PCB diagram, BOM and hardware resources.

NOTE: The software for this board is located in the controlSUITE™ software package for the C2000 MCU. Please download controlSUITE from https://www.ti.com.cn/tool/cn/controlsuite . After installation, navigate to "Bi-Directional Non-Isolated Buck Boost Converter" under the "Development Tools" -> "Digital Power" section.
