Multi-purpose RGB light controller connected to Tuya Smart:
1. Connect to 5V-12V DC power supply and external 5V or 12VRGB light strip. It can be controlled by buttons, infrared control, Tuya Smart APP control, and smart speaker control such as Tmall Genie!
2. Insert a 5V light board and it can be used as a small smart lantern;
3. Combined with the battery plate and 5V light board, it becomes a rechargeable mobile smart lantern;
4. The charging board uses Y8951 solar charging chip, which can be connected to a normal charger and a low-current solar panel for charging, and then connected to an external solar panel to transform into a solar smart outdoor lantern!
Using Tuya's development-free RGB light strip solution, there is no need to develop any code, it is simple and crude!
During the opening period of the project, I happened to be quite busy with work. I was a little overwhelmed with this project, but I didn’t expect that Lichuang EDA would give me a second prize.
Thank you very much for Lichuang's love . I am relatively lazy, so I won't say much about typing. Here I will talk about the imperfections of this project. Please copy with caution!
The original idea was to make a multi-purpose lantern controller, as mentioned in the previous description! Nowadays, there is basically no problem in controlling 12V light strips. Of course, if the light strip has too high current, it will be too much ! (I forgot to take a picture of the 12V light strip in the demonstration video, I will add it later)
If you use batteries and solar panels, this project will be more complicated:
1. The issue of low power consumption of battery equipment was not considered. LDO did not take into account that the power consumption of Wifi module is also relatively high. The 700MA battery purchased online cannot support it for one night after being charged (without turning on the lights, only the circuit and Wifi module energy consumption)! This is quite a pitfall. Even if the solar panel is connected during the day and can be fully charged, it will not last overnight! If you want to make this battery light or solar light project feasible, it is recommended that you make Tuya's Zigbee gateway, use Zigbee low-power modules to replace Wifi modules, and LDOs should also be replaced with low-power ones (I personally use XC620). Consumption is not bad!
2. The light panel only has 7 small lights, which is too few, the brightness is too low, and it can only serve as a demonstration! It’s more ridiculous to use it for lighting!
Thanks again to Lichuang, thank you all for your likes and comments! I will share more projects when I have time. What I personally do more of is the Mysonsens open source project! Welcome to communicate!
