The ESP32 Internet of Things sensor experimental kit is a supporting set for the "Internet of Things Sensing Technology Application Practice" course of Zhejiang City University. The kit consists of the ESP32_Deckitc core board, expansion board, and sensor module. Based on the wireless network and Bluetooth function of ESP32, functions such as sensor data collection, network transmission, and data visualization display can be realized. The expansion board has led out all the pins of the ESP32 core board, and designed a Grove interface to facilitate docking with the Grove module. The expansion board is designed with basic devices such as photoresistors, buttons, three-color LEDs, buzzers, and WS2812. The designed display The interface is compatible with the I2C protocol 0.96-inch OLED display or the Zhongjingyuan 2.4-inch TFT-LCD display (compatible with new and old screens). MicroPython, Arduino and official Esp-idf can be used to carry out corresponding teaching experiments. According to the course positioning, in order to enable students to get started quickly, MicroPython is used as the teaching language in the experimental teaching links of our school. Through course study, you can master Python basic programming, various sensors, WIFI, Bluetooth, MQTT communication protocol, NODE-RED visual design and Android APP development based on App Inventor and other closely related knowledge of the Internet of Things. The V1.1 version of the expansion board has been tried by 60 students during course teaching. The V1.2 version is being upgraded and designed to introduce SD card reader modules and wireless communication modules such as Lora and Zigbee. We will provide completed teaching handouts, teaching videos and related experimental codes during the summer vacation, so stay tuned.
