Overview

What is it for?

This project is designed for one of my sets. Its function is to control the atmospheric smoke generator in the set. Of course, it comes with its own driver. Used to control other things (such as light motors, etc.)

how to use

  • To provide better compatibility. The remote control receiver part adopts a plug-in module design. Its size and pin definition are compatible with most 7-pin superheterodyne remote control receiving modules on the market. You can plug in the modules you purchased and use the jumper area provided at the rear to shield unwanted key inputs.
  • The input recommendation is divided into two parts: a low-voltage and low-power power supply for the MCU and a high-voltage and high-power part for the driver. Please note that the entire system defaults to a common ground
  • Low-voltage part: In order to improve stability, especially to prevent interference caused by the operation of external power devices. There are independent voltage regulators for the power supply of MCU and remote control receiving module. The interface marked 3.3V can input voltage of 16-3.3V. But it is recommended to input 3.9V-3.4V; the input cannot be lower than 3.3V
  • High-voltage part: The on-off of the high-voltage part is controlled by a MOS tube, and there is an optocoupler isolation between it and the MCU, which improves stability and decouples the voltages of both parties. PWR is the high-voltage input area. It is recommended that the lower limit of the input voltage is 8V. For the upper limit and maximum current, please refer to the MOS tube manual. If other voltage/power ranges are required, the MOS tube can be replaced.
  • Regarding the ground wire: In the design, due to the use of optocoupler isolation, the high-voltage part and the low-voltage part are allowed not to share the same ground. If necessary please cut off the connection of Line gge2148 to the two pads. Otherwise, both sides share the same ground. It should be noted that even if both sides share the same ground, for the sake of stability, if you only want to connect one ground wire, it is recommended to connect it to the pad gge424.
  • Regarding other interfaces: A total of 3 sets of 2P headers are reserved for convenient debugging. Its functions are: serial port, ST-Link interface, low-voltage power supply lead-out (convenient for power supply and grounding during debugging). For the sake of safety after delivery, it is not recommended to replace all female headers with pin headers.
  • Regarding programming: Due to my bad luck, serial port programming has never been successful more than 3 times, so this circuit only supports ST-Link programming. Boot0 is hard-linked to be pulled low. It is recommended that you use ST-Link for programming in STM32 development. It is much more convenient than serial port programming, and you can also view the registers.
  • About programming 2: Did you know that the act of solidifying a program into a microcontroller can be called uploading or downloading?
  • About the code: Here is only an example, which is to control the heating and blowing for about 20 seconds after receiving the button signal. I believe you can make richer controls
  • Regarding expansion: If you need more output, you only need to lengthen the circuit board, and then copy more sets of MOS-optocoupler-miscellaneous resistor combinations.
