Alcor AU6989 USB2.0 U disk Anguo

Overview

I tried drawing a U disk board and practiced on four-layer boards.

Background of the project

That day was a chemistry class in the winter of my senior year of high school. I fell asleep looking at the blackboard full of blackboards, so I secretly took out my phone and opened Taobao to see if there was anything interesting. Suddenly my eyes lit up. Lao Wang sold the new CBM2098S USB flash drive main control board for 0.5 yuan each. I was overjoyed and thought it would be fun to make some USB flash drives myself. Then the balance is -55.

When it arrived, I unpacked it and felt a sense of disappointment. It turned out to be a flash memory holder for TSOP48. And in addition to CBM2098S, there is another main control: AU6989SNHL-GT.

Nowadays, flash memory chips have more BGAs. This TSOP48 makes me very embarrassed, and TSOP48 is quite difficult to solder. I took a flash memory from an old set-top box and made a 128M USB flash drive. In addition, the college entrance examination is approaching. I have no interest in it anymore.

After the college entrance examination, I accidentally discovered the software LCEDA. I tried using some simple boards and found it very useful. It gave me, a useless person who had downloaded and deleted AD three times, a new light. On July 1st, Jialichuang was free to sample the 4-layer board. I knew it was time to fulfill my unfulfilled wish, so I drew the circuit in one night. After several modifications and several prototype tests, we finally have a usable main control board.

Project Description

A U disk main control board (PCBA) based on Alcor AU6989, with minimal design, minimal peripheral circuits, and support for VCCQ 3V3 flash memory.

  • Support master control
    • A crystal oscillator needs to be welded (pins 9 and 10 are crystal oscillator pins, designed by yourself) <- Can these main controllers really still be purchased? (
      • AU698X series
      • AU699X series
    • No crystal oscillator required
      • AU6989SN-GT series
  • Theory supports NAND Flash types (please refer to the firmware for specific model support list)
    • BGA132 SLC/MLC/TLC/QLC
    • BGA136 SLC/MLC/TLC/QLC
    • BGA152 SLC/MLC/TLC/QLC
    • Maximum 2CH 4CE or 1CH 8CE

Change log

  • V1.4
    • Refactor wiring, PCB layout
    • Verification successful image.png
  • V1.3
    • Verification completed, card opened successfully
    • I was beaten because I was too bad at drawing on the board. I had to draw again. Woohoo.
    • Low quality USB A head, I really love you! ! ! image.pngimage.pngimage.pngimage.png
  • V1.2
    • Verification partially successful, but there is a problem
    • When I tested the power on, the computer had a blue screen: the USB data cable was connected reversely (grass
    • After flying the line, identify the disk and flash memory image.png
  • V1.1
    • Updated BGA152 pad to use simplified design
    • The main control adopts an oblique design, and the crystal oscillator circuit is temporarily removed.
    • Added Samsung 27nm support jumper SB1 image.png
