Take the FPDK05SR8003 I bought as an example
Actual measurement. In the case of 12v input and 5V output, the maximum current is about 2.1a. If it is too high, it will be protected. I ran it for an hour with a 10W load, and the temperature was around 55, with the highest not exceeding 60. Ripple (yellow line) is about 10mv
PG is an open-drain output and needs to be connected to a pull-up resistor.
Then track seems to be used to sequentially control startup. It may be used in special occasions. I don’t know much about it.
It is very mini. The indicator light switch is arranged, the enable terminal control circuit is also added, and the voltage follower terminal (track) has a solder pad for easy modification and use.
Generally speaking, although the FPDK05SR8003 module (nominal 3a) is only 2a (maybe it is a disassembled second-hand product), it is very cost-effective (2 yuan free shipping), and it has everything you need, and the size is very small (at the expense of relatively large heat generation)
Finally, I would like to add the test data. The maximum input voltage measured at the cost of burning a module is 30v (then I used a teppanyaki to dismantle the burned module. You can take a look at the internal circuit scheme. I don’t understand it very well.
The PCB thoughtfully adds a resistance setting table for commonly used voltages, which is more convenient.
