MCP23017 is an I/O expansion chip based on I2C interface control. It can expand 16 I/O ports. The 3 address control bits can support the simultaneous use of up to 8 expansion modules, which can be expanded to 128 I/Os. port, compatible with 3.3V and 5V levels.
