1A lithium battery charging and protection board

Overview

TP4056 charging and protection module

It is suitable for charging and protecting single-cell lithium batteries or parallel lithium batteries to prevent overcharge and over-discharge. The input terminal uses a 6P Type_C female socket, and the two pads on both sides can also be used for input.

parameter:

  • Size: 18*36mm
  • Input voltage: 4.5V-5V
  • Charge cut-off voltage: 4.2 V
  • Maximum charging current: 1 A
  • Battery over-discharge protection voltage: 2.5V/3A

Instructions

  1. The Type-C socket and the pads on both sides of it are the input terminals. Input 4.5V-5V power supply. Exceeding 5V may have adverse consequences.
  2. The 2P terminal at the end is connected to the positive and negative poles of the battery, marked with B+ and B-, and cannot be connected in reverse . The pads on both sides of the terminal are load interfaces, marked with OUT+ and OUT-.
  3. After connecting, use a common USB charging head to charge. Note that the output capacity of the charging head must exceed 1A. After connecting to the battery, you can start charging the battery. The charging current is preferably 0.37 times the battery capacity, such as 1000mAH. For lithium batteries, the charging current only needs to reach 370mA. Excessive charging current will cause voltage drops.
  4. When charging, the current will be controlled according to the battery condition. After reaching 4V, the charging current will generally decrease to achieve protection purposes.
  5. There are two indicator lights on the top to indicate the current charging status. The corresponding table is as follows:
charging Red light CHRG Green light STDBY
Charging Bright destroy
finished charging destroy Bright
Under voltage, temperature too high or too low destroy destroy
BAT connected to 10uF capacitor Flashing (T=3S) Bright
  1. For over-discharge protection, DW01 controls the on-off of the MOS tube. During over-discharge, DW01 gives the G pole signal of the MOS to turn off the MOS. When in use, the input power must be cut off, and only the rear interface is used. When the discharge voltage is lower than 2.5V or the current is too large, the discharge process is automatically shut down.
