1. Redraw the pcb, 84*95mm, to adapt to the aluminum casing purchased by Aubao, and the 24v switching power supply can also be built-in

2.Has the following functions

  • The controller allows simultaneous use of a heat gun or soldering iron. The reed switch on the handle of the Hakko 858D heat gun is used to activate the rework function. Depending on the configuration parameters in the main menu, the soldering iron can automatically shut down or continue working.
  • Optional hardware switch to completely disable the heat gun and disconnect it from the controller.
  • The heat gun is powered by the full sinusoidal half-cycle voltage peak and does not interfere with AC outlets.
  • This controller supports a single OLED display based on the SD1306 chip using a 7-pin SPI or I2C interface . No additional recompilation or code modifications are required. If an OLED display is found on the I2C bus during startup, it will be used, otherwise the controller will initialize the display on the SPI bus.
  • The controller checks whether the tip is connected by testing a small amount of os current flowing through the tip. If the nib is not connected to the iron handle, an error message will appear on the home screen. This feature allows quick tip replacement in standby mode. When the soldering iron is powered off and the tip is removed from the handle, the "Replace Tip" procedure is initiated.
  • Before powering up the heat gun heater, the controller checks that the heat gun is connected and that its fan is working properly. This increases the security of the controller.
  • The controller will keep the heat gun fan running at low power until it gets cold. When powered off, the heat gun's fan speed will be automatically managed.
  • The controller uses ambient temperature (sensor inside the FX9501 handle or in the case of the controller) to correct the tip temperature measured by the thermocouple.
  • The controller supports individual calibration of the tip via four reference points at 200, 260, 330 and 400 degrees Celsius.
  • The controller supports calibrating the heat gun through four reference points of 200, 300, 400 and 500 degrees Celsius.
  • A dedicated calibration procedure is implemented in the controller to simplify the calibration process of the nozzle or heat gun.
  • The controller uses a 50 HZ PWM signal to control power to the welding tip. This keeps the controller silent.
  • A PID algorithm is used to manage the power provided to the soldering iron or heat gun. This keeps the preset temperature very accurate.
  • An accelerated rotary encoder algorithm is implemented in the controller, allowing changes to be made quickly.
  • Temperature can be displayed in two degrees Celsius: Celsius or Fahrenheit.
  • In case of inactivity, the controller performs an automatic shutdown procedure.
  • Implement standby (low power) mode using the optional hardware tilt switch.
  • The U8g2 graphics library is implemented in the controller.
  • To prevent the OLED display from degrading, a screensaver mode has been implemented.

3. The switch can be canceled

Hardware switches become optional. It can be connected in parallel with a heat gun reed switch to completely disconnect the heat gun handle. As far as you know, the reed switch shortens when the handle is on the hook and opens when using the heat gun handle. If you disconnect the heat gun from the controller, it will assume that the heat gun is in use and attempt to power it. An optional hardware switch simulates a closed reed switch that opens the handle.

The main working mode is soldering iron mode. In this mode you can use the soldering iron, access the main menu, activate and calibrate the soldering iron tip and heat gun, configure all required parameters of the soldering station. When you lift the heat gun from the base, the controller will switch to rework station mode. The soldering iron can continue to work if the configuration parameters are changed in the main menu.

You can use either the soldering iron or the heat gun sequentially (i.e. only one device can be active at a time), or both devices at the same time, depending on the settings options menu ("Keep the soldering iron") mode. When this option is enabled, the iron will keep working while using the heat gun. However, when you place the heat gun on the base, it will turn off and start cooling.
